f-vectors and h-vectors of Simplicial Complexes: A Conjecture by Kalai

Abstract:

In this talk, we revisit the concepts of f-vectors and h-vectors for simplicial complexes, with a focus on Kalai’s conjecture concerning the f-vectors of flag simplicial complexes. We then review key results and developments related to this conjecture.
